Sunapee Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society to Hold First Induction Ceremony

  --  The Sunapee Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will induct the first members on Friday, March 14. The Sunapee Chapter was established in the fall of 2013 and invited seventh and eighth grade students with a grade average of 89% or higher to apply in early February. Students had to demonstrate dedication to the areas of scholarship, leadership, and character in order to be chosen for membership. 

Once students are inducted they pledge to continue to uphold these standards as well as those of citizenship and service. The students will complete a variety of community service activities; each student completing a minimum of eight hours. 

The inductees for NJHS are:

  • Celeste Duda
  • Carson Garland
  • Uzma Malik
  • Mary Moynihan
  • Ben van Paassen
