Who is eligible for Special Education Services?
Eligibility for special education is determined based on the criteria for individual disability areas and the need for specialized instruction in order to access the general education curriculum.

The Special Education Process

1. Someone suspects a disability and makes a referral
2. Disposition of Referral- Does the student require an evaluation?
3. Evaluations conducted
4. Determination of Eligibility- Does student meet criteria for special education?
5. Draft and accept of the IEP
6. Determination of Placement
7. On-going Monitoring
